Ken Mandzuik is a lawyer with Tradition Law LLP, Estates and Trusts practicing exclusively in the area of trust and estate litigation.

Ken was called to the bar in 1997 after getting his B.A. in philosophy and his LL.B. from the University of Manitoba. His practice since that time has focused on all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, including representing survivors of Indian Residential Schools. Ken has appeared before administrative tribunals, arbitrators, mediators, and all levels of court in Manitoba as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He presents regularly on topics related to estates and estate litigation.

Ken is active in the legal community. He currently sits on the Canadian Bar Association’s Policy Subcommittee and is a member of the Manitoba Bar Association’s Wills section executive. He is a Past President of the MBA, past chair of the CBA’s Legislation and Law Reform Committee, a past member of the CBA Policy Committee, the former co-chair of the MBA’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee, and is a Life Council Member of the MBA. He formerly served as the chairperson of the Insurance Agents’ and Adjusters’ Licensing Appeal Board, and currently serves as an alternate chair of the Criminal Code Review Board of Manitoba. He has also been a director of a number of non- or not for profit organizations, including the Canadian Bar Insurance Association / Lawyer’s Financial, Legal Help Centre, the Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties, the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba and West Broadway Youth Outreach.

Ken has strong opinions on what counts as good music (The Smiths and Morrissey reign supreme) and lives with Josef K and Sir Isaac, two newts who mostly get along. Mostly.
