Beyond client services, we are deeply committed to educating both the public and legal professionals. Our contributions include hosting workshops on estate planning and administration, authoring textbooks and articles used across Canada, and providing continuing education for lawyers, accountants, financial advisors and other professionals.
Our lawyers actively engage with diverse audiences beyond professional development sessions, by delivering presentations tailored to workplaces, community groups, wealth management firms and their clients. We maintain close connections with esteemed organizations such as the Canadian Bar Association, Manitoba Bar Association, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and the Estate Planning Council of Winnipeg.
Textbook Publishing
John E.S. Poyser is the author of a textbook entitled “Capacity and Undue Influence”. It is the culmination of five years of research and writing for John. This textbook is published by Carswell and is used by lawyers and judges involved in estate issues.
This is John’s second textbook. The first deals with estate and trust taxation.
Efforts to Lead
Our lawyers serve on the boards and executive of provincial, national and international organizations dealing with estates and trusts. Included:

- The Canadian Bar Association – Wills, Estates and Trusts Section
- The Worldwide Governing Council of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners
Efforts to Educate
We lecture across Canada, for the public, financial advisors, accountants and lawyers.
We are presently involved in two national scope, web based products to educate both the public and legal community.
