Andrew Torbiak is a partner with Tradition Law LLP Estates and Trusts. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2016, after earning his B.Comm (Hons) and J.D. degrees from the University of Manitoba. Andrew was also called to the Alberta Bar in 2021.

Andrew handles estate administration matters for executors and administrators and provides advice to estate beneficiaries. Experienced in dealing with a wide range of estate complexities, Andrew helps clients navigate uncommon issues affecting estates, such as executor compensation, passing of accounts, court applications to give effect to imperfect wills, and difficult or complex intestacy matters. He also works closely with his litigation colleagues to provide support when necessary. Andrew particularly appreciates this practice area because it gives him the opportunity to provide skillful and responsive service to his clients during an otherwise difficult time in their lives.

Andrew also provides estate planning services. He regularly advises clients with blended family planning, disability planning and interprovincial and cross-border planning needs. Andrew has experience assisting families with incapacity issues, including committeeship applications or providing advice to attorneys under Power of Attorney who act on behalf of incapacitated friends or relatives.

Andrew became a member of the Manitoba Bar Association Council in 2025. Andrew is also dedicated to the growth and development of future lawyers. He has volunteered his time as a coach of the U of M Legal Negotiations team since 2017, and was honoured to be recognized as a Jurist of Robson Hall in 2025 for his contributions to the faculty.
